In 1957 as an extension of Orillia's St. Paul's United Church, the congregation undertook the formation and construction of a new church in Orillia's south end and it would be called Regent Park United Church. In 1967, Forest Home United Church joined with Regent Park United Church and becomes a 2' Pastoral Charge. In 2002 Regent Park celebrated it's 45th Anniversary.
As a Two Point Pastoral Charge, we are a particularly active group, especially with fundraising for the churches as well as for community support. We also have Pastoral Charge Benevolent Fund. At Christmas time, both of the Ladies groups prepare and distribute baskets and flowers to shut-ins and those who are in nursing homes within our area.
Both the churches do many fundraisers throughout the year from Roast Beef Dinners to Turkey Dinners to Ham and Strawberry Socials as well as Garage Sales, Bazaars and Bake Sales, Talent Nights, Rummage Sales, Christmas Cafe Evening, and Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sales.
