OADAC Churches Location Maps
Orillia District map shows the area where OADAC Christian churches and para-church ministries reside. The map is active, which means if you "click" on a cross or group of crosses you will be taken to an individual church page or, with the group, a more detailed map where you can select the individual church.
As you move your cursor over the map the names of the churches or the location will appear. This will help you select the church page or a map of the location (group of crosses)
The groups are: Atherley to Uptergrove, Town of Brechin, Town of Coldwater, City of Orillia, Town of Rama and Town of Washago.
An alternate list of churches for each map can be seen by "clicking" on the name at the top or top-left of the individual maps. You can "click" on the individual links on this page to get to the church page or location map.
The "Church Directory", top of menu on left, gives a written description of the church location and a telephone contact number.
The Atherley - Uptergrove map shows a section of highway 12 from just W of Atherley, the Narrows, to just E of Uptergrove. This stretch of highway is in close proximity to 5 churches. In order, from left to right, the Atherley United Church, in Atherley; Seventh Day Adventist, 5661 Highway 12; Church of the Good Shepherd, Anglican, 5482 Highway 12 in Ramara Centre; Knox Presbyterian, 5202 Highway 12 in Uptergrove; and, St. Columbkille Roman Catholic Church, 4933 Highway 12.
Moving your cursor over the cross will show the church name and "clicking" on the cross will take you to the individual church page.
The map of Brechin, although sparse, readily indicates the location of the two churches. The Brechin United Church on the left and St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church on the right. The intersection at Brechin is traffic light controlled making turns off the highway safe even under busy summer traffic conditions.
The map of Coldwater shows the towns position relative to highway 400 and highway 12. If you are coming from the south east you will enter Coldwater via Coldwater Rd. and from the north west you would use Sturgeon Bay Rd. Travelling on the 400 highway you would use exit 141 to go to Coldwater.
There are 3 Christian churches in Coldwater, Coldwater United Church, 16 Harriet St., St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 28 Gray St. and St. Matthias Anglican Church, 20 Gray St. Also shown on the map is St. John's Anglican Church, 3323 Upper Big Chute Rd. It is out of town, but shows in the upper right corner of the map. St. John's Anglican Church is also accessible on the Orillia District map.
More detail about these churches is available on the "Church Directory" page listed near the top of the menu on the left side of this page.
The map of Orillia shows the relation to the local highways and routes into and out of the city. Highway 12 by passes the city along the south edge (The By-Pass) meets highway 11, runs north to Coldwater Rd. and then west to Coldwater. Highway 11 comes from Barrie in the south and heads north to Gravenhurst, passing the city on the west side.
Common routes in/out are shown in gold (yellow) and include, starting on the right, Atherley Rd., Front St., Laclie St., Colborne St., Coldwater St., Coldwater Rd. W., Memorial Ave., Westmount Dr. and Barrie Rd. (becomes Old Barrie Rd.). West St. and Missisaga St. are shown in green. They are significant because most streets change from East to West or North to South at these two cross streets and, in some cases, the street changes its name.
For more information on individual churches "click" on the red cross when the name comes up or use the "Church Directory" at the top of the menu on the left side of this page.
The Rama map shows the location of the two churches, the Rama United Church on the left side of Rama Road and the Rama Full Gospel Church of Deliverance on St. Germain Dr., which is on the right side of the Rama Rd.
The Washago map gives the location of the three churches in the Washago area. The churches from left to right are St. Paul's Anglican Church located south of highway 169 on Quetton Rd., Heritage United Church located on the west side of Muskoka St. two blocks above highway 169 and St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church on the east side of Muskoka St. just north of the Heritage United Church.
Washago is situated at the north end of Lake Couchiching near the north end of the Rama Rd. Lake Couchiching is part of the Trent-Severn waterway with the Trent Canal system exiting the lake just west of Washago and heading to the Severn River.
