In 1880, a church was constructed at Jamieson's Corners (now Forest Home); a frame structure 24 feet X 30 feet, for a cost of $340.00. Many local families have worshiped in this small church, and this year it will be celebrating it's 125th anniversary. Over the years, the building has seen some modifications.
In 1928, the entire building was moved because it was located too close to the highway allowance. It was set on a new foundation and the church was turned a quarter turn with the front entrance now facing onto the 2nd Concession Road. This was all completed by volunteer workers. In 1958 the Annex was added to accomodate a growing membership. The last construction was in 1999 when a porch was erected over the front door.
In 1967, Forest Home joined with Regent Park United Church and became a 2pt Pastoral Charge. See Regent Park United Church for more information.
